Potted Plants Can't Feed Themselves

A houseplant lives within the contained ecosystem of its pot. The roots can't reach beyond it for more nutrients, and every watering can wash nutrients out through the drainage holes. When you pay attention to every new leaf, root, and growth point, precise feeding matters.

Bloom formulas: loaded with phosphorus for the fruit and flowers your pothos is never going to set

Fertilizer spikes and granular feed: release from one concentrated spot or on their own schedule, giving you less control over when nutrients reach the root zone

Water alone: doesn't replace the essential nutrients your plant uses as it grows or loses through regular watering

YARDi Indoor Core 3-1-4: mixes directly into your water for a measured, consistent application throughout the pot, making it easier to feed with intention as your plant's needs change

That's the difference between a plant that simply gets by and one that grows full, vibrant, and impossible to ignore.

Food Your Plant Can Use Today, Not Next Month

A spike puts everything in one spot and lets it out on its own schedule. A pump puts the right amount, added straight into your regular watering routine.

Why Houseplants Slowly Stop Looking Like They Did at the Store

A nursery plant arrives full because it was grown under bright light in freshly fed soil. Put it in the corner of a living room, water it with tap water for six months, and it starts to stretch, drop its bottom leaves, and push out each new leaf a little smaller than the last.

Nothing Left in the Pot

Most potting mix contains an initial dose of nutrients. Once that's used up, a closed pot has no way to make more.

Fed the Wrong Thing

A bloom or all-purpose garden formula is built around fruit and flowers, not the leaves you actually bought the plant for.

Depleted soil and the wrong formula, and the plant gets a little smaller every season instead of bigger.

Why the 3-1-4 Ratio Works Indoors

Every number in the N-P-K has a job (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium). Here's what the 3-1-4 is doing for a plant in a pot:

3%

Nitrogen (N)

The number that leads. Provides what the plant uses to push new leaves and hold a deep green.

1%

Phosphorus (P)

Kept low on purpose. Enough for roots, propagation and repot recovery, not a fruiting crop's dose.

4%

Potassium (K)

The highest number. Supports water regulation and sturdy, upright growth in dry indoor air.

Indoor Core puts that balance into one pump bottle, formulated for the plants you keep for their leaves.

An easy way to keep your plants alive

I have a brown thumb, so I decided to try this plant food in hopes of keeping my houseplants alive a little longer. It’s easy to use—just pump it into a watering can and feed your plants according to the directions.

I like that it’s designed for both leafy and flowering houseplants, making it convenient to use on the different plants I have around my home\. Hopefully, with regular use, my plants will stay healthier and continue growing.

A simple option for beginners who need a little extra help caring for their houseplants.

Easy Pump Indoor Plant Food That’s Clean, Simple, and Great for Leafy Houseplants

I’ve been using this YARDi Indoor Core liquid plant food on my houseplants, and the pump bottle alone makes this worth it. No measuring cups, no powder, no mess — you just pump it straight into your watering can and go. It’s clean and quick, and the bottle doesn’t leak or get sticky around the top.

The formula is a 3‑1‑4 blend, which is great for leafy indoor plants. I used it on pothos, philodendrons, and a couple of ferns, and they all responded well. The leaves look a little brighter and perkier after a couple of feedings, and the plants didn’t show any signs of burn or stress. It’s mild enough for regular use but still gives them a noticeable boost.

The liquid mixes instantly with water — no clumps, no settling at the bottom. I like that it doesn’t have a strong chemical smell. It just blends in and makes watering feel like one simple step instead of a whole process.

The pump gives consistent portions, so you’re not guessing or overfeeding. I also appreciate that the bottle is small enough to store easily but still holds enough product to last a while, especially if you’re only feeding indoor plants.

If you want a plant food that’s easy, clean, and made for everyday houseplant care, this one fits right in. It’s simple to use, gentle enough for regular feeding, and the pump design makes the whole thing feel effortless.

Easy plant food

I have quite a few houseplants, so having an easy fertilizer on hand is really helpful. I like that this is a liquid plant food that I can simply pump into my watering can and use when I’m watering. It doesn’t add another complicated step to taking care of my plants.

The pump makes it easy to measure out what I need without making a mess, and the 16 oz bottle should last quite a while. I also like that it’s made for both leafy and flowering houseplants, so I can use it on different plants around the house instead of needing a bunch of different products.

Overall, this is a really convenient addition to my plant-care routine. It’s easy to use, doesn’t take up much space, and makes feeding my houseplants feel much more manageable.

Nice boost to my indoor plants

I'm not the best at maintaining a regular feeding or fertilizing schedule with my indoor plants, but somehow, they tend to thrive around me. With over 100 plants in the house, some of which I have had over 20 years, occasionally they deserve a little treat so they don't get jealous of the dogs. This is a well balanced fertilizer for most houseplants. The pump bottle makes it very easy to dispense with no mess. The plant food/fertilizer mixes into the water well and should help avoid any root burn by being diluted in the water. While it is too soon to state what benefits the fertilizer provides for the plants, I have waited a week since my first application to watch for any additional leaf drop or browning and, so far, there have been no signs of any ill effects on my plants. If you have monsteras, philodendrons, or other leafy vines, there are better options than a 3-1-4 for those plants. For the rest, I am happy with this product and expect it to work well to give a little boost to my plants when I remember. Since I only feed/fertilize my plants about every 3 months, this bottle will last me quite a long time even with as many plants as I have. When I ordered the product, it was priced at $18.99, which I find to be in line with other similar products and consider a fair value.

Plant Revival

A plant that I have had since 2007 doesn’t look as healthy as it once did. I purchased the - YARDi Indoor Core Liquid Plant Food 3-1-4 Houseplant Fertilizer 16 oz – to hopefully bring it back to life. I followed the directions and mixed it with water applying it to the plant for the first time today. I haven’t noticed much if any difference with the one application but I wasn’t anticipating that. I would suspect it will require multiple applications. I’ll have to update this review at a later date with any future results. As far as the ease of use – other than experiencing some minor difficulties with the opening of all the safety seals, the application of this product was pretty simple.
